What you're buying
A one-time, €15 watch service covering up to 13 refuge/rifugio/date combinations you choose, active from purchase until the last watched date passes. RefugeAlert monitors the official availability page for your watched refuges (GR20, Corsica), rifugi (CAI, Italy) or refuges (FFCAM, France) and emails you when a watched combination shows an opening.
What RefugeAlert does not do
RefugeAlert does not book, hold, reserve, or otherwise act on any refuge or rifugio booking on your behalf. It does not have and does not request your booking-site account credentials. It has no affiliation, partnership, or data-sharing agreement with the Corsican park authority, the Club Alpino Italiano, the Fédération française des clubs alpins et de montagne, or any official reservation system.
No guarantee of availability
Refuge availability depends entirely on other hikers' cancellations, which RefugeAlert has no control over. It is possible, and not a service failure, for a watch to run its full duration without ever alerting. RefugeAlert does not guarantee that any bed will become available, or that you will successfully book one even if an alert fires.
Service interruptions
Monitoring depends on the official availability pages remaining publicly readable. If a technical or upstream change makes it permanently impossible to monitor your watched combinations before your watch ends, contact us and we will refund the affected watch. Short interruptions can happen and are handled by resuming monitoring, not by refund.
Refunds
Because the service is the monitoring itself, not a guaranteed outcome, purchases are otherwise non-refundable once a watch has begun running, including watches that never alert.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, RefugeAlert's total liability for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the affected watch. RefugeAlert is not liable for missed, delayed, or undelivered alerts (including email delivery failures outside our control), for the outcome of any booking attempt, or for travel plans or costs. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Cancellation
You may cancel an active watch at any time using the manage link included in every email. Cancelling stops future alerts; it does not refund the purchase.
Payment
Payments are processed by our payment processor, acting as merchant of record. Their terms govern the payment transaction itself.
