Privacy

RefugeAlert is built to store as little as possible. Here's the complete list.

What we store

When you set up a watch: your email address, and the refuge/date/accommodation combinations you chose. When you pay: a payment reference from our payment processor (not your card details, we never see or store those). Nothing else.

Stored in your browser

If you use the light/dark theme switch, your preference is saved in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us.

IT: se usa il selettore del tema chiaro/scuro, la Sua preferenza viene salvata nella memoria locale del Suo browser. Non lascia mai il Suo dispositivo e non ci viene mai inviata.

Why

Your email is how we alert you and how you manage your own watch: there are no accounts, no passwords, and no profile beyond that.

Service providers

Two providers process data on our behalf, strictly to run the service: a transactional email provider (delivers your alerts and confirmation to your address) and our server host (where watch data lives). Neither uses your data for anything else, and there are no analytics or advertising services anywhere on this site.

Payment processing

Payments are handled entirely by our payment processor, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. They see your payment details; we don't. Their own privacy policy governs that part of the transaction.

How long we keep it

Your watch data is kept for as long as the watch is active, plus a short period afterward for support purposes. Ask us to delete it early any time; see contact below.

What we never do

We never sell or share your email with anyone. We never store your booking-site password (we never ask for it). We never track you across other sites.

Deletion / questions

Email owner@refugealert.com and we'll delete your data or answer any question about it.
